Christopher David Lebrón Ferrer, known professionally as Chris Lebron, is a Dominican singer and songwriter of romantic urban music, born in Santo Domingo on 26 March 1999 and raised in Bajos de Haina. Signed to Arcángel's label Flow Factory, he is known for «Desde Mis Ojos», his collaborations with Romeo Santos and Arcángel, and clean, love-song lyrics that he attributes to his evangelical upbringing.

Origins

Lebron grew up in Haina in an evangelical family and sang in church from childhood, learning guitar, drums, and piano early on. He attended the Instituto Politécnico de Haina and began university studies, but the family had few resources, and he worked as a professional photographer, mostly at weddings and events, expecting that to be his career. A period of poor health that kept him at home led him to write constantly, first stories on the platform Wattpad and later songs.

During the pandemic he began posting song fragments on Instagram. Friends started circulating the recordings without his asking, «Estrella Fugaz» was the first to spread widely on TikTok, and he left university to try music professionally. He has said he was serious and shy about singing and that his church background made explicit lyrics something he did not want to write.

Flow Factory and «Desde Mis Ojos»

Lebron asked followers to tag Arcángel in his posts. The Puerto Rican reggaeton artist noticed one, wrote to him on Instagram, and after a long phone conversation and a period of watching how he worked, signed him to Flow Factory in 2022. Arcángel also gave him his first recording equipment. His first single on the label, «Desde Mis Ojos», was followed in May 2022 by a remix with Sech and Jay Wheeler. That year he was nominated for Musical Promise at the Premios Heat, which went to Dekko.

In 2022 he also released the EP «Versos de un Cardíaco», with «Mesero», «La Jaula Perfecta», and «Estrella Fugaz» with La Ross María; the single «Loco» with Arcángel in October; and «SIRI» with Romeo Santos, released in November and included on Romeo Santos's album «Fórmula Vol. 3». In 2023 he was among the Dominican nominees for the Premios Juventud.

«En Honor Al Que Ama»

In 2024 the Dominican Ministry of Youth awarded him the Premio Nacional de la Juventud for that year's achievements. His debut album, «En Honor Al Que Ama», was released on 14 February 2025 and presented in Santo Domingo. It has 17 songs, was worked on for more than two years under Arcángel's supervision, and was produced by JH Beats, Crivas, and Dehry. Guests include El Alfa, Natti Natasha, Farruko, Manuel Turizo, Cosculluela, Arcángel, Justin Quiles, Sech, Jay Wheeler, and the Christian artists Redimi2, Rubinsky, Natán el Profeta, and El Philippe; songs include «Contacto de Dios», «Jaque Mate» with El Alfa, and «Más Grande Que Yo» with Farruko.

He has continued to release singles since, among them «Préstame» and, in 2026, «1 Minuto».

Style

Lebron writes romantic songs that mix reggaeton, pop, and R&B and avoids explicit content, which he says came from his upbringing rather than from a calculated choice. He is open about his Christian faith and about the tension of working in a secular urban circle, and is nicknamed the «Golden Boy».

Legacy

Lebron is one of the Dominican artists who reached the international urban market through social media rather than the traditional label route, and his work with Arcángel and Romeo Santos placed a romantic, faith-influenced voice inside a genre where explicit lyrics are common.
