Ghetto — Axel Rafael Quezada Fulgencio, who also bills himself GhettoSPM for San Pedro de Macorís, born there on 16 October 1991 — is a Dominican producer, composer and arranger. He produced Pepas.

Pepas

Farruko’s Pepas was named the best song of 2021 by TIME, and it is one of the largest Latin records of the decade. A producer from San Pedro de Macorís built it, and outside the Dominican Republic almost nobody knows that.

He also produced La Tóxica for Farruko, and No Hago Coro Con Nadie — the record that put Nino Freestyle next to Farruko at the end of 2020 and closed that year as a worldwide trend.

In 2025 he won a Grammy, and said publicly that he used to see these things only in photographs.

Starting with Vakeró

He came up alongside Vakeró. Dominican rap of that period was where a young producer could learn the whole job at once — the beat, the arrangement, the mix — because nobody could afford to hire three people for it.

San Pedro de Macorís is a sugar city better known for baseball players than for producers. Getting from there to the console on a global hit is a longer route than it looks.

His own records

He records under his own name too. No Hago Coro arrived in December 2020 with a remix the following March, and QQQC and Calor both came out in 2023. Afixiao is the one where he put himself at the centre of the story rather than behind it.
