Milton Yuberis is a Dominican bachatero from Bahoruco, in the south-west. He plays traditional bachata — guitar bachata, the older kind — and works the circuit that most Dominican music writing never reaches.

The southern circuit

His stage is the fiesta patronal. He played the patronales de Duvergé in July 2023, on a bill built the way those bills are built, with local sponsors named alongside the acts. That is the working life of a regional bachatero, and it is a real career even though it produces almost no press.

He has led a group under his own name, Milton Yuberis y Los Dorado de la Bachata, and he has appeared on regional television — a live set on Catorce TV’s El Poder del Mediodía, billed as traditional bachata.

The records

Me Desperté, released in March 2023, he cut with Sandro Reyes. El Dolor circulated on his own pages, and Gracias Por Irte came out in 2026, covered as another record from what one write-up called the bachata of Bahoruco.

The south-west is not where the bachata industry is. Bahoruco is a long way from the studios of Santo Domingo, and a bachatero who works from there is choosing the harder route to being heard.
