Shamir Massih — Jorge Shamir Massih, born August 28, 1991 — is a Dominican Christian singer-songwriter. He writes his own material and records without guests, and his catalogue was released independently through the distributor Backstage Música.

Recordings

The catalogue runs from 2019 to 2022 and is short. Tu Amor came first in 2019, then Algún Día in 2020. Three releases followed in 2021 — the EP Jesucristo, along with Salvador and Lo Que Nunca Te Dijeron. Confiar en ti and Tu Presencia closed the run in 2022. Jesucristo is the most heard of them.

He is credited as composer on all of it. No release carries a featured artist, which is unusual in Dominican Christian music, where guest appearances are how most artists build a profile. The titles sit squarely in worship — Jesucristo, Salvador, Tu Presencia, Confiar en ti — rather than in the urban registers that dominate the younger end of the scene.

What survives

Almost nothing else is documented. There are no interviews, no press coverage and no account of a church, a band or a producer behind the work. What survives is the music itself, distributed across the major platforms, and a name attached to it as writer.
